Child Safeguarding
Child safeguarding is the action that is taken to make sure children are safe and protected from harm. The responsibility to safeguard children belongs to everyone. Ensuring that children are safeguarded remains a key part of how our club operates. It helps to ensure we provide a safe and happy environment in which our children can learn to swim and develop their skills.
All Swim England affiliated clubs and organisations follow standard policies and procedures. This detailed guidance is referred to as Wavepower. You can learn more about Wavepower by clicking on the link below. Our club ensures that everyone involved in delivering our club activity is aware of Wavepower and appropriately trained to understand the importance of welfare and safeguarding and respond to any concerns.
As parents and carers involved in our club, we encourage you to support the welfare of our children by following any advice given but also to report any concerns, no matter how small they seem. You can do this in confidence by contacting the club’s welfare officer:
Mrs Satty Boyes
