Our Treasurer Retires

Many of you might not know Tony Burke as for many years he has carried out a most important role as club treasurer. When I say many years I actually mean 50 years as he was appointed in 1964.

Incredibly Tony a former water polo goal keeper has kept the books in good order for half a century and has finally hung up his calculator. Tony was presented with a silver salver in recognition of his service to the club by our club Chairman Dr Alan Boyle at the recent AGM.

Im sure we all wish Tony a long and enjoyable retirement, no doubt Tony will enjoy a few more rounds of golf.

The clubs new Treasurer will be Christine Mansfield the former work force development officer.
