Tom Hadley and James Williams have just got back from playing for GB at the Slowianka Cup in Gorzow, Poland.
This is a preparation tournament for the European Championship Qualifying competition in Istanbul in May.
The team travelled out on Wednesday last week arriving in the early hours on Thursday.
Their first match was against the Ukraine which they lost 9:12.
On Friday GB played Belarus taking a 6:0 lead only to be pegged back to 6:5 before scoring 5 unanswered goals in the last quarter to win 12:6.
Saturday saw GB play two games beating Poland 10:6 with but loosing to Moldova in the evening 3:7.
Sunday saw an easy 14-0 win over the Czech Republic.
This meant that GB finished 3rd out of the 6 competing teams. This equals GB’s best ever result in this competition.
