On Saturday 1st April two of Warrington’s Junior Players helped out at the British Water Polo Championships in Manchester
Louis and Tom travelled to East Manchester Leisure Centre to represent our Club and serve as Ball Boys for the day for two City of Manchester WPC Senior Matches.
City of Manchester Senior Men played Caledonia and the Senior Women played Welsh Wanderers.
Both boys did an excellent job. They were briefed on their responsibilities by City of Manchester Manager Colin Walsh, they led the competing teams out for the pre-match line-up and did a great job swiftly and discretely retrieving any out of bounds balls.
The score for the Senior Men’s game was 5-5 at full time with CoM winning 10-9 on penalties.
Louis retrieved 8 balls to Toms 9
CoM Women beat Welsh Wanderers 20-5
Tom retrieved 2 from this match whilst Louis retrieved 3
Afterwards Colin praised both boys performance and said he would be happy to use them again at the upcoming U17 European Water Polo Championships to be held in Manchester in May.
Many thanks to Colin Walsh, Andy McGinty, Theo Nousious and Julie Allsopp from City of Manchester WPC for the opportunity and well done to Louis and Tom.
