Session Cancellations
Following the Government announcements on Monday concerning and
now Tuesday evenings announcement from Swim England that they are “strongly
advising clubs to consider cancelling or postponing activity – including events
– until the end of May” (https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/coronavirus-statement/)
the Club has decided that for the time being all swimming and water polo
training sessions should be CANCELLED with immediate effect. In addition all
upcoming galas and water polo matches have also been cancelled..
We will continue to monitor the situation, liaise with pool owners/operators and our
governing bodies to ensure that we can resume all training sessions as soon as
sensibly possible, and we will keep you all informed of any progress.
In the mean time we ask all Members to look after yourselves and make sure you follow
Government and NHS advice on how to avoid catching or spreading Corona Virus.
